We just got a new ninja blender thingy, so smoothies are in full swing. If you want ninja skills, kick off your morning with this blue monster:
- frozen banana
- frozen spinach and/or kale
- spirulina (they sell it in the bulk section at Central Market)
- nut milk: we like to make it with half almond milk, half coconut water
- optional: maca powder, chia seeds, hemp seeds
Pour into a mason jar with a reusable metal straw…duh. Or turn it into a smoothie bowl by adding some granola and more fruit and nuts on top.
